BAMMBO brings together a multidisciplinary consortium of research centres and small and medium-sized enterprises (11 partners from 8 countries, including international participation from Russia and Brazil).

They are located along the Mediterranean, Adriatic and Atlantic coasts, which provides access to vast stores of high added value molecules.

The consortium includes two businesses (SMEs) already involved in the industrial production of known bioactive molecules from marine resources.

Eventually, the consortium will rely on small and major players in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and industrial sectors for advice, and help to guide their research objectives and the desired outcomes. BAMMBO will focus primarily on the implementation of sustainable strategies for the cultivation of marine organisms.

To summarise, the consortium will rely on small and major players in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and industrial sectors to seek their advice and help guide research objectives and outcomes. BAMMBO will focus primarily on the implementation of sustainable strategies for the cultivation of marine organisms.
