Remote mode offshore unloading stations currently consist of a buoy and a passive semi-rigid anchoring system with steel lines. Designed for 1,500 m of water (West Africa), it would be difficult for them to be used without major modifications for the newly proposed water depths of 3,000 m.
The purpose of this project is to investigate new technological solutions linking the platform and the offloading buoy and select those that could be offered to operators. The aim is to increase the supply technique in the context of oil field production in "ultra-deep offshore." New concepts proposed will be based on the latest technology: hydrodynamic float structures, anchor lines made from synthetic materials, dynamic positioning system and a monitoring system for operational assistance.
