The WindKeeper project aims to develop an economical demonstration vessel, eco-designed to safely and significantly increase the number of working days at sea (24/7, for three week stretches, more than 300 days per year). This vessel must meet all of the operators’ requirements, to ensure availability and productivity of offshore wind turbines, to match as closely as possible those machines located on land based wind farms. WindKeeper allows farm operators to achieve these objectives at a lower cost than existing solutions and will limit the use of air based methods.
