The PACA Marine Cluster, leading in ship-building innovation

The PACA Marine Cluster came back from its participation at the last Cannes International Boat and Yacht Show, with reinforced reassurance concerning its innovation strategy for a more economical, cleaner and safer ship-building industry.

With a stand completely dedicated to its enterprise members, the Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur Marine Cluster was intent on ensuring their visibility at the Cannes International Boat and Yacht Show (FIP). Eco-Line, Max Power, Subsea Tech, Insilio, Seawax Marine Coatings, Var Accueil Investisseurs, Toulon Provence Mediterranee, Futuraships and Transas Mediterranean were able to present their know-how to trade show visitors.In the current economic situation, the ship-building sector has been seeking a way out of the crisis through new quality and innovation programs, especially in the area of sustainable development: the trend is for more economical and cleaner vessels. With its future vessels and future ports unifying programs, the PACA Marine Cluster is contributing by providing a direct answer to these new expectations.During his visit to the trade show, Christian Estrosi, the Ministry of Industry, announced the creation of an Inter-Competitiveness Clusters working group dedicated to the ship-building industry. The PACA Marine Cluster will be one of the major actors in this new working group, to support the innovation of enterprises of the sector and to focus on their competitiveness as soon as the economic crisis will come to an end.
