From October 20 to 24 of this year, Toulon and Marseilles are preparing to host BioMarine, the first edition of the World Marine and Maritime Forum.The BioMarine, an international event, is expected to gather together more than 2000 leaders of the scientific, political and industrial world and will permit the major challenges of the ocean to be dealt with from the perspective of sustainable development. Prime Minister François Fillon considers this event to be the «official maritime event of the EU French Presidency». Fully supported by the European Commission and the French Government, BioMarine benefits from the regional support of local authorities, economic development agencies and private industrial partners. The PACA Marine Cluster is the privileged partner of the BioMarine forum.BioMarine will constitute a showcase and is expected to considerably boost savoir-faire, competences and the commitment of the Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur Region in the area of the sea.

At the Euronaval trade fair, the PACA Marine Cluster will be hosting a stand of more than 190m2 to welcome its regional partners involved in the area of naval defence: businesses (Principia, Thalès Safare, ECT Industries, Diginext, Pégase Instrumentation, Chrisar Software Technologies, Acsa Underwater GPS, CS, INPP, Cesigma, Baudouin engines and Kontron), economic development agencies (Var Accueil Investisseurs, Provence Promotion and Team Côte d'Azur) as well as the Toulon Provence Méditerranée (TPM) Agglomeration Community.Euronaval will gather together more than 300 exhibitors coming from 30 countries, professionals of naval weaponry and State action at sea.The Brittany Marine Cluster will also accompany eight of its members at a stand located near the PACA Marine Cluster’s stand.
