The Centre for Testing and Expertise in Deep Sea Platform was definitely selected in mid-June during the call for projects by the DGCIS (General Direction of Competitiveness of the Industry and Services). It will benefit from support from FUL, FEDER and local authorities for a total amount of 5 M euros. This test centre will permit all those who develop underwater systems, engines and equipment of the PACA region, but also national and international ones to carry out true-to-life tests and demonstrations, by using two underground stations positioned at a depth of 1 300 and 2 400 meters respectively and equipped with power and data umbilical cords.
