PACA Marine Cluster and TVT in synergy
On the occasion of their General Assemblies, the PACA Marine Cluster and Toulon Var Technologies reinforced their initial association by joint presentations and focusing on their synergies.
On 9 July 2009, the Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur Competitiveness Marine Cluster and Toulon Var Technologies jointly held their General Assemblies at the Maison des Technologies in Toulon.Bernard Sans, President of the PACA Marine Cluster, presented the highlights of the year 2008 and announced the signature of the Cluster’s 2009-2011 Performance Contract by State and territorial authorities. With Patrick Baraona, the Cluster Director, they presented their three-year strategy aimed at the implementation of Unifying Programs.Broken down into the areas of Maritime Security and Safety as well as Sustainable Development, unifying programs of the PACA Marine Cluster focused on major issues such as potential areas of excellence for cluster members. This measure reinforced backing for innovation efforts by mobilising actors on technological challenges.The General Assemblies included a presentation on the progress of the Great Bay Project and in particular the Marine Techno Park Operation, territorial programs commissioned by the Toulon Provence Mediterranee Community Agglomeration, with the participation of Toulon Var Technologies and the PACA Marine Cluster.The day ended with a cocktail which enabled a large number of participants to continue their exchanges in a friendly atmosphere.
