The Nautiscaphe company has just been awarded first prize in the Patent Category of the PACA Technological Development Network for its innovative elliptical screw anchors.

On 18 June 2008, the PACA Technological Development Network (RDT) award for 2008 was conferred to six prize-winners, and Nautiscaphe, a member of the Marine Cluster, came in first place in the Patent Category. This event took place during the 14th FIDEST (Mediterranean sub-contracting fair) at the Chanot Park in Marseille.The Technological Development Network (RDT) award honours SMEs for technological innovative measures. Today, this network created in 1995 in the Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur, has 92 advisers.The Nautiscaphe project involves the development of a screw anchor by replacing reinforced concrete in sub-aquatic stowing which provides an environmentally-sound, economical and safe solution in response to the growing problems of anchors on our coast.This project has materialized thanks to the PACA Marine Cluster‘s continued support to Nautiscaphe since the end of 2006.This business was able to concentrate on the essential: innovation, while the Marine Cluster dealt with problems related to fund raising, networking and communication.Nautiscaphe intends to use this award to capitalize on the opportunities presented thanks to this innovation.
